11.6.1 CONDITIONS:
Construction of new residence.
A “new” person constructs a new commercial building
A “new” person purchases an existing vacant commercial property with the intent of commencing a new commercial business.
Not apply to relocation unless substantial additional space is constructed.
Application must be received in writing each year it applies.
No repeat exemptions
Does not include frontage or local improvement taxes
Council may at its discretion alter the intent of this policy
11.6.2 INCENTIVE:
– As of January 1, 2013 Receive:
– 65% rebate of tax levied in year 1
– 35% rebate in year 2
